Hi Nina let me first start out by saying....by no means do i profess to be an expert in parenting
because i know that im not.However I still have some things that i deem needful for the nurturing
and well being of our youth.I truly believe that children must be told over and over who they are
and what they are capable of doing.The streets have their opinion and its given everyday all day.
My concept of speaking into our youths life daily is proven effective.Ask Obama and the likes of
Obama he was told daily who he was and what his capabilities were.

On the other hand go to the peno system and ask all of those who are now incarcerated what they
were told daily.....and trust me it was a daily branding.It maynot of come from the streets daily but
the T.V. and radio had its part in confirming what the streets already voiced.Its not good enough for
us as parents to assume that our periodic affirmations are strong enough to sustain the daily verbal
abuse that are heard either directly or indirectly by their ears.Bottomline is.... if they aren't recieving daily
affirmations from us the fight is overwhelmingly stacked against them.

Children MUST be told who they are EVERYDAY verbally its not an option because the media and the
streets combine are quick to tell them who they should be.Now thats just my opinion.So a man thinketh
so is he....and thats solely based upon what he has heard the most.

My gosh that is so on the top! You are wise and perceptive. I was a teacher and I ama mom of one,We have to keep it real as a family with God first.
